Moderatpers.com – Lembaga Sosial ACT (Aksi Cepat Tanggap) berikan apresiasi dan penghargaan nasional kepada Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari (BEM-Unhasy) atas aksi kemanusiaan dan kesadaran sosial dalam membantu korban terdampak banjir bandang kota Batu Malang yang terjadi pada Kamis, (4/11) lalu.
Penghargaan itu diberikan karena BEM Unhasy cepat tanggap dalam menyalurkan bantuan kepada para korban 4 hari setelah musibah melanda, tepatnya pada Senin, (8/11).
Diketahui bahwa banjir bandang itu menewaskan 7 warga setempat, dan 30 rumah terendam lumpur.
Ketika mendengar kabar musibah tersebut, Ahmad Celvin Moniagah (Presiden Mahasiswa Unhasy) menyebutkan bahwa tanpa berfikir panjang ia dan anggota BEM-U segera berinisiatif untuk melakukan penggalangan dana guna membantu korban penyintas banjir bandang.
“Pas denger kabar musibah, jiwa kemanusian itu pasti gimana caranya buat bisa bantu. Langsung deh pada Kamis malamnya kami rapat darurat kemudian memutuskan bahwa hari Jumat dan Sabtu kita langsung galang dana,” jelas Presma Unhasy itu.
“Awalnya mau gandeng semua ORMAWA, tapi karena banyak yang susah dihubungi, akhirnya kita turun sendiri. Tapi alhamdulillah habis itu semua ORMAWA Fakultas juga turun menyusul galang dana,” ucapnya.

Penggalangan dana dilakukan di titik-titik pusat keramaian di daerah Jombang, seperti di lampu merah Belimbing, Cukir, Cewel, dan pusat jalanan lainnya.
Total penggalangan dana selama 2 hari adalah Rp. 4. 049.500,00. Dari total itulah, kemudian di salurkan kepada para penyintas berupa sembako dan kebutuhan pokok.
Sebanyak 50 kardus bantuan diberikan secara langsung oleh anggota BEM-U dibantu oleh ACT. Bantuan tersebut disalurkan ke dua titik, yaitu desa Bulukerto dan desa Sidomulyo Kec. Bumi Aji Kota Batu.
“Kita salurkan secara langsung itu 50 kardus kebutuhan pokok kepada para korban. Syukurnya dapat bantuan mobil dari ACT juga untuk membawa sembakonya,” kata Celvin.
Tak hanya sembako, bantuan yang diberikan juga berupa baju dan pakaian. Ia juga menyebutkan bahwa kondisi disana sangat memprihatinkan. Banyak warga kesulitan dan tak berhenti menangis karena harta benda bahkan keluarganya juga turut hilang dibawa arus banjir.
“Kondisinya memprihantinkan banget. Tapi gimana lagi namanya musibah gak disangka-sangka. Saya sempet tanya-tanya juga kepada para korban, salah satunya Pak Suhardi. Beliau itu punya bengkel motor, 40 hilang hanyut dan ketemu 12 aja. Rumahnya juga rata sama lumpur,” jelasnya.
