Moderatpers.com – Sebutan sebagai kota santri masih tetap melekat pada Kabupaten Jombang, Jawa Timur. Bukan tanpa sebab, daerah kecil ini memang telah melahirkan banyak pesantren yang memiliki pengaruh penting seperti Tebuireng, Bahrul Ulum (Tambak Beras), Mamba’ul Ma’arif (Denanyar), dan masih banyak lagi. Di kota ini pula lahir organisasi Islam terbesar di Indonesia, yakni Nahdlatul ulama (NU).

Tepat di jantung Kabupaten Jombang, terdapat sebuah daerah bernama Jogoroto. Di sanalah berdiri Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an. Pesantren ini bernama Hamalatul Qur’an, atau yang lekat disebut Pondok HQ.

Hamalatul Qur’an lahir pada tahun 2011, yang didirikan oleh KH. Ainul Yaqin atau yang kerap disapa Kiai Yaqin. Alamat lengkap Pesantren ini ialah di Dusun Sumberbendo, Desa Jogoroto, Kecamatan Jogoroto, Kabupaten Jombang. Letaknya dapat dikatakan strategis, karena menghubungkan jalur antara Mojoagung menuju Tebuireng.

Berdirinya pesantren ini berawal dari cita-cita Kiai Yaqin yang ingin mendirikan sebuah pesantren untuk menjadi solusi bagi anak yang ingin menghafal Al-Qur’an, tetapi terhalang biaya.

“Banyak anak yang ingin menghafal Al-Qur’an, tapi terkendala biaya, Hamalatul Quran hadir sebagai solusi untuk menyelamatkan cita-cita mereka,” jelas Kiai Yaqin.

Berdirinya pesantren ini pula tidak lepas dari saran pengasuh Ponpes Madrasatul Qur’an (MQ) KH. Abdul Hadi Yusuf kala itu. Langkah itu juga di dukung penuh oleh dewan masyayikh MQ seperti KH. Musta’in Syafi’i dan KH. Syakir Ridwan.

Selain itu, kiai Yaqin juga mendapat dukungan dari para dermawan yang siap membantu kebutuhan operasional pesantren seperti Doddhy Khotot Herdianto, pimpinan PT. Gatra Gilang Persada Jakarta, dan juga H. Amin Soeharto, pimpinan yayasan Ulil Albab Surabaya.

Sebelum resmi mendirikan Hamalatul Qur’an, Kiai Yaqin sudah kedatangan beberapa santri. Santri pertama berasal dari Jombang sendiri, bernama Sufi Sulaiman. Berselang beberapa hari, datang kembali rombongan santri berjumlah 6 orang dari Jember. Rombongan itu datang atas saran dari salah satu kerabat kiai Yaqin yang berada di Jember.

“Saat pertama kali mondok, belum ada nama Hamalatul Qur’an, dan bapak kiai waktu itu statusnya masih menjadi ustadz di MQ,” Kata Kholis, salah satu santri HQ generasi pertama.

Setelah kedatangan beberapa santri, kiai Yaqin bersilaturahim kepada para kiai sepuh seperti KH. Husein Ilyas Mojokerto untuk memohon doa restu. Akhirnya, pada Sabtu, 02 Juli 2011/30 Rajab 1432 H, atas saran dari KH. Musta’in Syafi’i, nama Hamalatul Qur’an di deklarasikan dengan motto “Membantu santri duafa menjadi insan kamil hamilil Qur’an lafdzon wa ma’nan wa amalan”.

Hingga kini, PP. HQ telah berkembang sangat pesat. Terhitung, sampai Februari 2022, jumlah santrinya telah mencapai 1.322 yang tersebar di asrama unit dan cabang. Berkembangnya pesantren ini tidak lepas dari riyadhoh para kiai dan dewan asatidz, serta kegiatan harian yang istiqomah dilakukan oleh para santri.

Santri PP. HQ di wajibkan mengikuti salat Tahajud dan salat Dhuha dengan maqro’ (ayat yang dibaca) 1/2 juz. Seluruh santri juga di wajibkan menyimak bacaan imam. Selain itu, di pesantren ini juga diterapkan kegiatan membaca Al-Qur’an bin nadzor dengan aurad famy bi syauqin (5 juz sehari) yang khatam di setiap hari Kamis.
