Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari (Prodi PBA UNHASY) menggelar acara ta’aruf, webinar nasional serta sosialisasi ITHLA (Ittihadu Tholabah AL Lughoh Arobiyah) untuk mahasiswa/i baru yang dikemas menjadi satu acara dengan nama “Masa Ta’aruf” pada (07/10) secara virtual melalui zoom meeting.
Acara tersebut dimulai sekitar pukul 08.30 WIB dengan pembacaan ayat suci Al Qur’an, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sambutan-sambutan, sambutan pertama disampaikan oleh ketua panitia pelaksana acara masa ta’aruf, dilanjutkan sambutan kedua yang disampaikan oleh Ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa Prodi (HMP) PBA yaitu Hayat Qois El-Harrani, dalam sambutannya menyampaikan tentang kegiatan-kegiatan yang ada di HMP PBA yang dapat diikuti oleh para mahasiswa/i PBA untuk membantu mengembangkan keterampilan berbahasa Arab seperti khitobah, baca kitab, ghina’ arabi, muhadasah, esai bahasa Arab, dan lain-lain, serta mewakili memperkenalkan kakak tingkatnya secara umum, mulai semester tiga, lima, sampai tujuh.
Kemudian sambutan ketiga disampaikan oleh Kaprodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab yaitu Dr. Fathur Rohman, M.Pd.I, dalam sambutannya beliau menceritakan tentang perkembangan Prodi pendidikan bahasa Arab dari masa ke masa, dimana dulu mahasiswa/i yang daftar di PBA UNHASY tidak terlalu banyak, bahkan sejak awal berdirinya tahun 1997 hanya ada dua orang yang daftar sebagai mahasiswa PBA sehingga pada tahun 1998 tidak membuka pendaftaran untuk Prodi PBA, baru pada tahun 1999 dibuka lagi dan mulai ada beberapa mahasiswa/i yang cukup untuk melaksanakan perkuliahan, sejak saat itu sampai pada tahun 2018 jumlah kelas yang ada di Prodi PBA hanya ada satu kelas. Barulah pada tahun 2019 mulai banyak yang daftar ke Prodi PBAUNHASY, sehingga mulai tahun 2019 jumlah kelas untuk setiap angkatan di Prodi PBA UNHASY ada dua kelas yaitu kelas A dan B. Tak hanya secara kuantitas yang bertambah tetapi secara kualitas juga berusaha ditingkatkan melalui status akreditasi, dosen-dosennya melanjutkan studi ke jenjang S3 hingga saat ini PBA memiliki 5 Dosen dengan gelar Doktor, kurikulumnya pun juga berusaha diperbaiki seperti menambahkan muatan tahfid, hafalan mufrodat, muharriqul lugha, program kitabah i’tiyadiyah bagi mahasiswa baru, dan sebelum pandemi PBA juga memiliki dosen nativ arabi yang berasal dari Al Azhar Mesir, di akhir sambutannya tak lupa beliau berdo’a semoga Prodi PBA UNHASY dapat terus berkembang lebih baik lagi.
Dilanjutkan dengan ta’aruf yang disampaikan oleh perwakilan mahasiswa/i semester 1A dan perwakilan semester 1B, dalam penyampaiannya memperkenalkan diri serta teman-teman sekelasnya, sebab-sebab yang memotivasi mereka untuk memilih kuliah di Prodi PBA UNHASY, serta harapannya belajar di PBA UNHASY.
Setelah itu, dilanjutkan dengan acara Webinar Nasional yang disi oleh dua dosen PBA sebagai pematerinya yaitu Dr. Abdul Qodir, M.Pd.I yang menjelaskan tentang penggunaan aplikasi mendeley untuk menulis makalah berbahasa Arab, dan Dr. Lailatul Qomariyah, M.Pd.I yang menjelaskan tentang macam-macam sistematika penulisan makalah berbahasa Arab.
Dilanjut dengan acara ketiga yaitu sosialisasi ITHLA yang disampaikan oleh pengurus ITHLA dan dalam penyampaiannya menjelaskan tentang apa itu organisasi ITHLA dan keuntungannya bisa bergabung dalam organisasi tersebut, sebab dengan bergabung dengan ITHLA akan menambah banyak relasi, dan bisa mengikuti berbagai macam program yang diselengarakan oleh ITHLA untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Arab, UNHASY sendiri juga pernah menjadi tuan rumah pada acara Musyawarah Wilayah Dewan Pimpinan Wilayah (Musywil DPW) IV ITHLA yang meliputi Jawa Timur, Bali, dan NTB pada tahun 2019 lalu.
Tiga rangkaian acara beruntun tersebut ditutup dengan do’a yang dipimpin oleh kaprodi PBA UNHASY Tebuireng.
