Moderatpers.com – UKM Forum Unhasy Menulis (FUM) di kampus Unhasy yang diketuai oleh Nazzatus Zamani (red Naza) Bersama beberapa anggotanya melakukan pelatihan “cara menulis berita” di ruang UKM FUM, pada kamis (29\3). Kegiatan yang dilakukan merupakan kegiatan mingguan untuk mengembangkan potensi berpikir serta memperdalam kemampuan para anggota dalam berliterasi, khususnya di bidang jurnalistik. Kegiatan mingguan ini, biasa mereka sebut dengan “Kelas Manis (Membaca dan Menulis)”.
Pada kelas manis kali ini, FUM berusaha memperhatikan pentingnya suatu informasi. Melalui berita informasi dapat disajikan secara proporsional. Melalu berita informasi bisa didapatkan secara universal.
Menulis berita merupakan suatu upaya untuk menceritakan, menerangkan, atau menyampaikan informasi suatu peristiwa dalam bentuk tertulis. Dalam berita selain terdapat rumus 5W+1H (What, who, where, when, why, dan how), juga memiliki parameter untuk memilih peristiwa mana yang layak diberitakan, yakni nilai berita (news values). Setelah menentukan berita mana yang ingin kita beritakan, menlis teks berita juga doperlukan kredibilitas atau kebeneran dari data yang disampaikan. “Dalam menulis berita, informasi yang ditulis merupakan fakta bukan opini. Jadi, perhatikan betul kebenaran informasi yang kalian punya” begitulah keterangan Naza dalam menegaskan pentingnya kebenaran informasi dalam berita.
Selain berbagai hal penting di atas, dalam penulisan berita juga terdapat teori penulisan menggunakan Teknik piramida terbalik. Maksud dari piramida terbalik adalah menyampaikan berita dimulai dari hal yang paling umum atau universal serta penting dan menarik, barulah kemudian masuk pada pembahsan isi dari berita tersebut.
Setelah menjelaskan tentang nilai berita (news values) atau kriteria layak berita, Naza melanjutkan penjelasnya mengenai struktur teks berita. Struktur naskah berita, pada dasarnya sama halnya dengan naskah atau teks-teks tulisan lain, yakni : 1) Judul(Headline); 2) Baris tanggal (Deatline); 3) Teras (Lead); dan 4) Isi (Body). Dalam menulis berita, struktur yang perlu diperhatikan adalah judul (Headline) dan Teras (Lead) dari berita tersebut. Karena dua hal tersebut cukup penting dalam menulis berita, maka Naza menyarankan agar untuk menulis teras berita terlebih dahulu, dan untuk penulisan judul lebih baik dituliskan setelah isi berita selesai secara keseluruhan. Sebab, menentukan judul memang bukanlah hal yang mudah.
Setelah penyampaian materi selesai, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan praktik menulis berita dan pengkoreksian bersama.
